I have decided to return to school this semester. I have been taking a class every semester but I took the summer off and thought it would be a good idea to take 3 classes this Fall semester. I can not remember why I thought it would be a good idea so I am chalking this crazy idea up to too much wine! LOL
The semester started last week with the first assignment due tonight by midnight. Of course, I am submitting the assignment on the day it is due. I am a true procrastinator at heart. I always start with good intentions but find myself rushing at the last minute.
Of course while I am trying to do research I am still bombarded with mom duties. "Mom, I want a drink" to which I reply "I don't respond to wants, I respond when it is asked correctly" this usually leads to her asking correctly so I have to get up and get chocolate milk, I get some for her too. LOL Then the older one comes home and I get an earful about how school was. What they had for lunch and how they got to play outside because their teacher said they were being good.
So I finally get back to research and posting on the message board when they both come over (I guess they thought strength in numbers) to ask about supper. I mean geez, you have to feed them more than once a day? LOL I don't complain, at least I get a valid excuse to delay researching INTERPOL. This semester is going to be a challenge!

More Proof that I am a Mom!
I have two girls who are 8 and almost 3. As if the toys taking over the living room, Dora on the TV and the bottomless pit of laundry hampers isn't enough I discovered more evidence that I am a mom.
My youngest daughter E likes to watch movies during car rides. Even if it is only to town which is about 10 minutes away. So one morning I took my older girl to school, I usually make her ride the bus but it was Friday and I decided to let her sleep in a little later. She loves it when I take her to school because we stop at Subway and get her a breakfast egg sandwich. I have offered to make her one in the morning at home but it just isn't the same according to her. Maybe it is because I give her the money and let her go into Subway by herself. She orders her sub and pay for it herself. Yes, I live in a small town and I have no problem letting her be independent.
So we stop at Subway and then K scarfs down her sub as we drive to the other side of town. We drop K off and head to daycare for E all the while I am listening to Despicable Me 2. I think I heard that movie about 3 times before I got to watch it and really appreciate how funny it is. I drop off E at school and yes, I leave the car running, small town remember. I get back in my car and head downtown to do some errands. I catch myself mimicking the lines and yes, laughing at the jokes for about 5 minutes before I realize I don't have a child in the car and can change the channel. Needless to say Despicable Me was left for later in the day when I picked E up from daycare. I laughed out loud at just more proof that I am a mom!

I'm baaaacccckkk!
I had to share my blog with my Art Appreciation class that I am taking at NICC here in Iowa. I am going on for my BSN and hopefully on again after that. So I thought I better make a new post just in case someone from my class comes and reads it. LOL
Today was like being on vacation! It was about 40 degrees here and I enjoyed every moment of it!
I helped Jeff fill a couple of trucks and for a moment I just stood by the leg and listened to the melting snow dripping off of the roofs of all the bins. I have never been so happy to hear water dripping!
